What I love about The Mason Dallas photos as a wedding photographer

The Mason Dallas Texas is truly a unique space! There’s no substitute for the history of the building, the intimate feel of the spaces and guest experience it creates. Additionally, it has so much personality! This also adds more interest and intimacy to your wedding photographs and gallery. As a photographer who loves details and theme, it’s easy to tell the story of the day here!

About The Mason Dallas Texas

Originally built in 1920 as the Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge #705, The Mason Dallas venue is archival to the time period it was constructed. The space has been re-imagined to functionally support large events, although the details and textures throughout the space have stayed true to their roots! There’s something truly special about a space that doesn’t feel as though it was created to be a wedding venue, but instead is its own kind of experience. Trés LA Group provides catering for events at The Mason Dallas TX, ensuring that the food is incredible every single time!!

Ceremony and Reception Locations

The Mason Dallas photos are incredible year round, since its spaces are entirely indoors! As a wedding photographer who specializes in natural light and bright, airy photos, it’s difficult for me to find indoor venues that I love. The Mason checks all the boxes, with full windows throughout the space that pour in natural light to keep the area feeling bright and spacious!

The Grand Hall

The Grand Hall is my absolute favorite part of The Mason Dallas venue! It’s a truly epic, one-of-a-kind ceremony space that will leave guests with feelings of grandeur and elegance. The fireplace is the perfect blank canvas for stunning floral installations. The large windows to the left of the altar provide beautiful lighting in addition to the glass chandeliers throughout the space. The baby grand piano in the corner adds the perfect touch of elegance! And the portraits here?? Truly stunning.

Couples hosting a larger event may choose to flip the Grand Hall from a ceremony space to a dance floor and reception space after cocktail hour concludes, while guests eat dinner downstairs. The expansive space is perfect for a guest count of 200 people, with room to add in a live band!

The Reception Hall

I’ve spoken before about the impact of chair choice on the general aesthetic of the day, further evidenced here with the choice of the black bistro chairs! In combination with white brick walls, the tablescapes add a beautiful pop of contrast to bright photos. Similarly, the abundance of artwork and furnishings throughout the space makes the need for additional decor minimal. The vibe throughout the whole space is a combination of warmth and glamor!

The Mason Dallas Wedding Amenities

The Bridal Suite

Two words: Hollywood glam. They perfectly describe the vibe of this getting ready space, with five hair and makeup stations detailed with classic globe bulbs. Couches on one side of the room are perfect for relaxation before the ceremony, while the salon style doors on the dressing rooms in the space add even more character. I also love that it’s located downstairs below both the reception and ceremony floors, which makes accidental sightings before the first look less likely!

The Parlor

I love that the second getting ready area in the space is just as incredible as the first! The artisan wallpaper and crown molding in the room add a touch of elegance, and the large mirror and readily available windows allow for amazing getting ready photographs. I highly recommend taking newlywed portraits here as well!

The Drawing Room

Couples often utilize the drawing room not only for stylized portraits, but also for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour before retiring downstairs for dinner. I’ve spoken above about the small details that make The Mason Dallas event venue experience unique, and this room is a great example of those details! The furniture and textures throughout have personality and a very elevated historic feel, and are perfect for guests to relax and lounge on while sipping their cocktails.

Estimated cost of a wedding at The Mason Dallas
