Destination Wedding Sayulita, Mexico

I can’t even tell you how excited I am to announce that 2022 was the year Karina Danielle Photography officially earned its title of destination wedding photographer! Sarah and Joe tied the knot in Sayulita, Mexico besides the cool ocean breeze and a spectacular cliffside view.

When planning the aesthetic for her day, Sarah took inspiration from influencer Jennifer Lauren’s feminine and romantic vibe! The blush bridesmaid dresses and bright, fluffy blooms paired elegantly with their clean outdoor reception space. From an emotional first look to a Persian knife dance before the cake cutting, the entire wedding was infused with Sarah and Joe’s love – both for each other, and for Sayulita Mexico!

I loved using this unique tile pattern to help capture the essence and theme of the day from the very start!

The Raghseh Chagoo, or the cake knife dance is a Persian wedding tradition that was so fun to capture! Once Sarah and Joe were ready to cut the cake, their friend grabbed the knife and began her dance. The knife was passed between dancing female friends and family members, while the couple attempted to bride them with money into giving the knife back. They then proceeded to cut the cake!

The night concluded with a reception filled with open air dancing under the stars! I think I’m spoiled now, and will forever more be disappointed if a reception doesn’t also have the salty scent of the ocean accompanying it😂
