The Pavilion at the Carleen Bright Arboretum

In the year that I’ve known and wedding planned with them, I’ve watched Scott and Abby create Instagram accounts for their adorable pups, move into their first apartment together and generally exist as one of the cutest couples ever. Coordinating with Abby was a DREAM. In her own words, “Spreadsheets and lists are [my] love language”. Her maid of honor, Ambree mentioned in her toast that Abby had had an itemized schedule of her wedding day from the very second Scott proposed. I believe it! It was one of the most relaxed wedding days I’ve ever seen!

When I tell you that because of Abby’s efforts (and a little help from her vendors😉) that this day ran flawlessly, I mean it! From screaming Good 4 You in the bridesmaid suite to an emotional first look, an inspiring worship service during the ceremony and a private last dance between the two of them… Abby and Scott’s wedding day reminded me of how lucky I am to serve my couples on one of the best days of their lives!

Everything about Abby’s look was modern, clean and stunning! I especially loved her cathedral veil – it made for some EPIC portraits later!

If you look closely, you’ll see a few bridesmaids and groomsmen through the windows of the pavilion sneaking a peek as Scott and Abby see each other for the first time before the ceremony!

It wouldn’t be a blog post if I didn’t mention how incredible first looks are… I mean look at these two!!

Feel free to pick up your jaw off the floor, I’m positive that Abby just made it drop!

The florals done by Laurel and Finch were absolutely incredible!!

I’m not going to lie, Scott looked a little worried when I suggested his groomsmen give him a gentle tackle… There were concerns his group might take that a little too literally, so a fun group hug ensued instead!

Abby and Scott’s favorite thing about their Pavilion at Carleen Bright Arboretum wedding venue were the tall windows that let the natural light and green scenery in. It was the perfect setting for their July wedding!

Silver dollar eucalyptus is one of Abby’s favorites, and I love how she incorporated it throughout the day! Carleen Bright Arboretum in Waco was a beautiful backdrop to make the wedding details even more stunning.

There were basically no dry eyes in the room as Abby’s maids prayed over her before the ceremony, my own included!

When I received some of Abby’s last minute notes about the day a few weeks before our final details call, I noticed something unique – that I had been requested to capture Scott’s first bite of salad! Evidently Scott has never had salad in his life, and long before he even met Abby he began to joke with his friends that he was waiting until marriage to try it. The entire room full of guests cheered Scott on as he took his first bite!

Remember those adorable pups with an Instagram I mentioned?? Meet Arya and Dutton in cake form! Their cake was such a fun way to include them in the day!

I have become more and more in love with the recent trend of couples sharing a private last dance after their guests have left the dance floor. It’s an incredibly intimate moment for the two of you to just breathe and take it all in – before your friends and family cheer you all the way to the exit!

Abby and Scott, it was such an honor to be a part of your day. Can you just get married several more times so I can shoot your wedding again and again?? Please and thank you!
