What I love about The Hillside Estate as a wedding photographer

Of course the venue itself is STUNNING, but that’s actually not the best part in my opinion! As a Dallas wedding photographer who has captured 100+ weddings in the region over the last 6 years, it’s the practicality and intentional planning of the spaces at The Hillside Estate that make it one of my favorite places to photograph.

The ceremony space can be conveniently blocked off until ceremony setup is done and guests are allowed inside. The bridal suite is conveniently steps away from the ceremony space, and the stunning outdoor terrace allows guests to mingle during cocktail hour without interrupting portraits. About The Hillside Estate

No one really likes to imagine that it will rain on their wedding day. But if it were to happen here, the indoor images here would still be just as amazing as anything we get outdoors! The entire venue is filled with windows that allow in bright, natural and flattering light for the Hillside Estate photos.

Ceremony and Reception Locations

The indoor ceremony space is key not only in the event of bad weather, but it also makes for the perfect summer wedding venue in Texas when the heat easily climbs into the hundreds! Both the ceremony and the reception spaces feature full floor to ceiling windows for picture-perfect lighting for all the key photos of the day!

The Chapel

It’s true that florals are a huge part of setting the tone and aesthetic of the wedding. But as a photographer, I would argue that ceremony chairs make an equal or even bigger impact on your guests! The gold chairs at The Hillside Estate elevate an already elegant space to make it feel even more formal, making it the perfect place to host up to 300 guests.

The Hillside

If an outdoor ceremony is more your vibe the Hillside features a French balcony, paved stone pathway and an artificial grass lawn that stays stunning year-round. The capacity for this space is 300. This is also one of my favorite locations for couple’s portraits, pictured above!

The Great Hall

The Great Hall is an indoor reception space at The Hillside Estate with a capacity for 300 guests. Crown molding, spotlights and chandeliers all add to the castle-like feel of the space! And the gold chairs add the perfect hint of luxury.

The Grand Entry & Lounge

The indoor cocktail hour space allows guests to enjoy their drinks in a stylish and sophisticated space. The grand entry area boasts an epic double staircase, while two intimate sitting areas on either side invite guests to unwind and enjoy each other’s company!

The Bride’s Drawing Room

In my opinion, there are a few things that are key to creating a beautiful bridal suite. These include beautiful decor, mirrors, natural light and LOTS of space! The Hillside Estate drawing room has all of the above. It’s easy to relax and enjoy the excitement of the wedding morning in a place this stunning, functional, and picturesque!

The Partner Suite

I love when both of the suites at a venue are equally styled, and have equal access to nice lighting! This suite is fully equipped with a pool table, a flat screen TV and leather couches with bistro seating.

The Courtyard

After enjoying the ceremony, guests can drift outside and enjoy the sunset during cocktail hour at the outdoor bar! My personal favorite element is the string lights. They add the best ambiance!

Estimated cost of a wedding at The Hillside Estate

The Hillside Estate wedding cost for weekdays starts at $7,250 which includes access to the bridal suite, chairs, parking, clean up, set up, glassware, tables, and lighting/sound. The starting price for non-alcoholic bar service is $15 per person. The Hillside Estate cost for a fully functioning, open bar with options such as custom cocktails, house beer, house wine & house liquor begins at $35 per person. The Hillside Estate prices and final wedding cost will vary based on date, guest count and catering options!
